The clubhouse, designed with Windmill’s usual Charleston-inspired theme, rests beside Calibogue Sound and hosts fine dining and plans cruises and social events for residents. The sports center here offers yoga classes, multiple clay tennis courts, a 25-meter swimming pool, Jacuzzi, saunas, dressing rooms, and a pro shop; jogging and bike trails form a system of paths throughout the neighborhood. However, Windmill is unique to Hilton Head because there are no golf courses.
The yacht club at Windmill Harbour’s 15-acre harbour offers sailing instruction and organized group events for all ages, including races. 260 boat slips, built for boats up to 80 feet long and 20 feet wide, are kept safe with Windmill Harbour’s tide free lock system. The hydraulic-powered lock holds 130,000 gallons of water at low tide, with two pipelines located on the north side of the lock with check valves monitoring water flow; at high tide, gravity forces the water supply to replenish. This system is one of only three in the East and maintains boat wear and tear at a minimum. 24-hour security, harbormaster services, and a marina shop complete Windmill’s yacht club.

Real Estate Sellers Tip Painting outdoor fences Use a roller to paint a picket fence; it completely covers the area and speeds up the job. Use a sponge for a wire fence because it gets the paint into all the joints and creases. In each case, be sure to wear rubber gloves and old clothes. |
