When painting your porch floor, remember that concrete surfaces absorb a lot of paint. Use a roller with an extension handle; first paint a border around the floor where it meets the walls with a 4" brush, then use the roller to spread the paint to meet the border. Porch steps take about two days; you only want to paint every other step the first day, so that you can walk on the dry ones. For trim, paint the windows' crossbars first followed by the flat surfaces.
