    About Long Cove Club

For three decades, Long Cove Club has been one of the Island’s most private and elite communities. Originally developed in 1981, Long Cove was created to lure in a bevy of selective golfers seeking world-class golf, with a Pete Dye masterpiece as it’s crowning jewel. The golf course spent 30 years as a Golf Digest Top 100 course and is consistently ranked a top course in the state. Today, the community has become not only a place for superb golf, but a very special place to call home. Long Cove is approximately 630 acres and is located on the south end of the Island, boasting a great location by both land and water. The 84-slip marina is located on Broad Creek. There are currently 470 homes in Long Cove, and unusual for Hilton Head, 68% of homeowners are year-round residents. Homeowners in Long Cove Club enjoy golf, tennis, fishing, boating and kayaking all within the gates.

    Security Features

Long Cove Club offers 24-hour security guards at the front gate entrance. Video surveillance is also used throughout the community and at the marina.

    Long Cove Club History

In the early 1970’s, three young men— David Ames, Joseph Webster III and Weston Wilhelm— honed their skills and development philosophies working for the Sea Pines Company on Hilton Head. By the late 1970’s, the trio focused on developing a cutting-edge community all it’s own, and discovered that the perfect piece of ground for their dream development was not far from where they got their start. Long Cove Club was formed in 1981 as a premier private golf community and has grown to be known not only for golf, but for tennis and boating as well. Privacy and luxury were at the forefront of the community plan; Long Cove Club embodies understated elegance in the heart if Hilton Head Island and the lowcountry.
