Fall is one of the best times of year in the Lowcountry. As the temperatures drop, things really heat up on HHI and Bluffton. Fall is the perfect time for pumpkins, hay rides and of course — yummy food!
This time of year brings an ever-rotating calendar of events that will keep you entertained. We’re fortunate to have several fall festivals close to home, where we can enjoy local flavors and family fun.
Here’s a look:
September 30-Oct 1st
Free Admission! The beautiful, Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park will be the backdrop for The Beaufort Shrimp Festival produced by Main Street Beaufort, USA, in downtown Beaufort. Up to 15 local restaurants will be featuring their best shrimp dishes and competing for the Silver Cup award. Purchase tickets for $1 each and use them at food & beverage booths. Items usually cost 2-8 tickets. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite restaurant in the People’s Choice Award, compete in the Shrimp Heading or Shrimp Peeling (for children) competition, and adopt a Shrimp in Sea Island Rotary’s Charity Rubber Shrimp Race.
- Burgers & Brew Festival from 11-5pm Shelter Cove Community Park- Dozens of vendors will fill up Shelter Cove Community Park for a day of slider contests, beer tastings, and a whole lot of fun.
- Bluffton Oktoberfest from 1-7pm in Old Town Bluffton - Bluffton's Oktoberfest will feature fun for all with German beer and food provided by local vendors, a classic car show and old-fashioned family fun.

The twelfth annual Historic Bluffton Arts and Seafood Festival will be held in the charming and eclectic historic district of Bluffton SC, well known for its quirky art community and natural river beauty. The festival is a week long event offering a myriad of activities, showcasing the locally harvested seafood, delicious Low Country cuisine, rich history, culture and art of the area and Southern hospitality found only in Bluffton.
The highlight of the festival is the Streetfest which includes a juried fine art show featuring over 100 artists from 10 different states displaying and selling their art, delicious food provided by the area's premier restaurants and caterers and great music and entertainment on Saturday, October 22nd and Sunday, October 23rd.

The 8th Annual Habersham Marketplace Harvest Festival is focused around Lowcountry values, family, entertainment, agricultural education and supporting our local economy. The Vintage Fair theme highlights all that the Lowcountry has to offer. Habersham Marketplace Harvest Festival is a grand event that captures the essence of the Fall, community, localism and farming. This “family event” is an entertaining and educational Fall street festival and celebration.
