A Hilton Head Island retail industry icon, Pineland Station, is poised for a complete rebirth and transformation as construction begins on a comprehensive redevelopment of the 40 year-old shopping destination to be renamed Sea Turtle Marketplace.


“Pineland Station has a unique place in the history of this community and the retail industry, and we have an opportunity to build on the center's legacy and strengths to create a fresh new experience,” noted Jon S. Wheeler, CEO of Wheeler Real Estate Company, which manages and leases the center. Wheeler Development will redevelop the center and has hired local architect firm, Court Atkins Architects, to design the project.
